Arcadian Library (Database trial from 09 April – 07 Jun 2017)Access Now >>
The Arcadian Library is an exceptional, privately-owned library which respects and celebrates the centuries-old interface between Europe and the Middle East. From the dawn of European printing over five centuries ago, to the fall of the Ottoman Empire at the close of the First World War, the Arcadian Library preserves book after book full of travelers observations, artists images, scientist and physician borrowings, in addition to literary, scholarly and historical influences. For the first time, we made the Arcadian Library Online available for institutions, bringing together the riches of this Library in a digital format for the first time. The Library is digitized and will be released in three parts, and the first module, showcasing works covering the History of Science and Medicine, is currently available.
